Brief Description

Arihant has openings for the post of Business Development Manager. The candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of work experience and excellent client relationships. The candidate must be able to work closely with the dealers, research analysts, sub-brokers and traders to assist clients in their investments and acquire new ones.

The candidate will be responsible for maintaining relationships with existing clients and sub-brokers as well as adding new clients and sub-brokers. He/she should have solid book of clients that are transferable.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in finance or good work experience in the field with excellent communication skills and convincing power to turn potentials into lead. The candidate should possess good understanding of stock markets, and have ability to understand client’s expectation and investment requirement and assist them in making right investment decision. The candidate will be required to provide clients with exceptional personalised service, so a friendly attitude is a must.

Job Responsibilities

  • Be on the field for client and Sub broker Acquisition and meeting targets
  • Servicing existing HNI and retail Clients and Sub Brokers in the region – equity, commodity, currency and other clients.
  • Self-generating leads and Referral sources internally and externally. This will involve cold-calling, emailing newsletters and setting up relationship with corporate for targeting corporate employees.
  • Developing a Database of vital contacts to build up a healthy pipeline of new and existing contacts across the spectrum for sales opportunity and building up relationships with key contacts.
  • Cross selling all products offered by the company; getting business/clients for Currency derivatives, commodities, online trading, MF, Fixed Deposits, Insurance and IPO.
  • Maintaining relationship with existing clients and sub-brokers and increase existing business with proper support and training.
  • Conducting training and investment education seminars
  • Stay updated with equity / commodity/ currency market, and thereafter update the clients.
  • Handling queries of clients received directly or through escalation
  • Risk Management and co-ordinating with the clients for timely settlement of funds, stock delivery and margin calls
  • Delivering unparalleled value, outstanding service and providing a positive client experience.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Post Graduate (preferably in finance) or Graduate with 4 years work experience in a similar role.
  • Minimum 3 years of work experience in sales, preferably financial products.
  • NCFM Certified – mandatory.
  • A proven track record of self-generating own business leads and referrals from Internal and external sources.
  • Excellent communication skills and negotiation skills.
  • Friendly attitude and effective interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate product features and benefits and be able to speak knowledgeably about various financial products in the market and its suitability for the investor in question.
  • Excellent operational, organizational and follow up skills with the ability to manage and process operational work.
  • Strong customer contact skills, along with excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills (in English and Hindi).
  • Ability to multi-task, including being on the field for client acquisition, taking care of client’s risk position, communicating with clients over the phone, assessing their needs, researching information and providing solutions all at one time.
  • Positive attitude, enthusiasm, professionalism, and strong work-ethic with high level of integrity and ethics.
  • Proven ability to work well in a fast paced environment and handle stress and be on field for continuous business generation and new client acquisition.
