COMEX copper is holding around a one-week low as dollar index firms above 101 mark ahead of FOMC meet and amid renewed US-Iran conflict that is supporting safe haven demand for the greenback. Besides, choppy overnight equities also failed to support the red metal. The Dow closed higher for the third straight session, jumping 537.24 points or 1 percent to 52,747.32. The S&P 500 also rose 15.60 points or 0.2 percent to 7,428.78, but the tech-heavy Nasdaq dipped 55.17 points or 0.2 percent to 24,876.91. Asian stock markets are also trading mixed on Wednesday, following the mixed cues from Wall Street overnight. Currently, the counter is quoting at $6.31 per pound, down 0.8% on the day.
