Energy Preview: WTI crude oil accrues further gains in early Asia   (09:15, 28 Apr 2026)

WTI crude oil futures are accruing further gains on Tuesday morning in Asia amid persistent concerns over oil disruptions as the critical Strait of Hormuz remains largely shut. The conflict has pushed energy prices higher and disrupted major supply chains, while the International Energy Agency (IEA) warns of a potential supply shock alongside slowing demand risks. Currently, the counter is quoting at $97.31 per barrel, up 1% on the day while Brent is hovering near $110 mark. Going forward, weekly inventories data would be keenly watched.
