| The Nifty 24 February 2026 futures closed at 24,791.80 a discount of 33.65 points compared with the Nifty's closing at 24,825.45 in the cash market. In the cash market, The Nifty 50 index tumbled 495.20 points or 1.96% to 24,825.45. The NSE's India VIX, a gauge of the market's expectation of volatility over the near term, was up 10.72% to 15.10. Bharat Electronics (BEL), Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and HDFC Bank were the top-traded individual stock futures contracts in the F&O segment of the NSE.
